If you want to leave the tools in place you can place the regulator at the frame (look at a HD Sportster!). This requires some new wiring, but that´s not a problem.
There´s a second way to go: You have to pack all
connectors under your rider´s seat very tight (requires some new wiring, too) so there´s enough space to place the regulator under the seat. Maybe tricky. I changed to soloseat and a modified FatBoyfender. With the FatBoyfender it´s no problem to place the regulator unde the rider´s seat. If you want to call me - do it!
